Work Location: Perth – Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk People
Roster: Monday to Friday or 4D/3R options available
The Specialist Supply Chain Scheduling focuses on optimising short-term operations and maintenance plans to maximise the efficiency of mining, rail, port, shipping and marketing to align with our strategic and annual business plans.
Utilising technical knowledge, analysis and consultation, the Specialist is responsible for supporting the identification and coordination of operating strategies, guidelines and processes that utilises the full capability of the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Development and coordination of supply chain scheduling for the 2-week, 3-month and daily planning horizons.
- Analysis of scheduling to identify constraints, risks and opportunities.
- Reporting and analysis of performance against supply chain metrics.
- Support short interval control routines tailored to improve performance in critical focus areas.
- Influence across a broad range of stakeholders, driving for optimised outcomes for the supply chain.
- Support maintenance optimisation routines and short-term maintenance endorsement process.
- Drive the development of operational strategies and guidelines.
- Drive continuous improvement projects designed to automate scheduling processes interfaces.
Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in STEM or analytics related would be highly desirable.
- Previous experience in supply chain, scheduling and planning will be highly regarded, however, we are looking for someone who can think outside of the box, with strong problem-solving skills focusing on outcomes, and a passion for automation of tasks and continuous improvement.
- This is the perfect role for someone who wants to apply their strong analytical skills to gain supply chain, scheduling and planning experience.
- Strong analytical skills and a passion for continuous improvement.
- Can apply critical thinking to resolve challenges and reach a positive outcome (strong at anticipating risks and mitigating them).
- Ability to adapt to a change in conditions and high pace, dynamic environments.
- Very proactive in working smarter, running data analysis and automating processes while doing the scheduling (business as usual) role.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with multiple layers of the organisation with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines.
- Advanced Microsoft 365 applications.
- Power automate would be highly favourable.
- Data analysis and data management.
- Development of dashboard would also be favourable.
