Our Opportunity

Location: Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

 

Roster: 4D3R FIFO ex Perth

 

Reporting directly to the Manager Mobile Maintenance, the Superintendent AHS & Planning plays a pivotal role in our operations. We are seeking a natural leader who is passionate, integral and enthusiastic ready to embrace the challenges of a fast-paced environment.

 

As a key member within the leadership team, you will be responsible for providing clear direction to your team whilst demonstrating frontline leadership, clear communication, stakeholder engagement and the strong ability to be autonomous in role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and champion a safety-first culture within the team
  • Implement targeted improvement projects and initiatives in alignment with organisational goals
  • Development and mentorship across multiple levels
  • Drive continuous improvement through quality analytical performance and operational data
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technological advancements and readiness for implementation

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in fostering and implementing safety cultures and processes
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong self-management/performance capabilities, organisation skills and priority management
  • Flexibility and creativity - ability to adopt new methods and processes to deliver outcomes and challenge existing paradigms
