Work Location: Across all Fortescue Pilbara Operations

 

Roster: 7D7N7R OR 7D7N14R – FIFO ex Perth, Busselton, Broome, Karratha, Port Hedland, Fitzroy Crossing and Kununurra

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure the efficient operation of the ore processing facility
  • Follow standard work instructions
  • Conduct daily inspections of processing equipment
  • Provide quality shift handovers, and maintain daily logs and reporting
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to help improve plant performance
  • Identify hazards in the work environment and resolve them in an efficient and timely manner

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Previous experience operating large scale wet or dry processing plants, ideally in a mining environment
  • Ability to risk assess and apply controls with a high regard for safety
  • Prior exposure to control room applications highly regarded
  • Mobile plant experience –  Front End Loader, Skid Steer, Overhead Crane and Telehandler desirable 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively through two-way operations
  • Current C Class Drivers Licence
