Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.
Roster: 8/6 Roster
An opportunity exists for an isolations improvement coordinator to join the decarbonisation project. The decarbonisation team supports Fortescue in achieving its goal of decarbonisation of the Pilbara operations by 2030.
The isolations improvement coordinator is a site-based role on a 8 days on/ 6 days off roster based at the Green Energy Test Hub at our Christmas Creek operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate permits and isolations for the green energy test hub
- Document isolation statements and complete isolation related procedure and documentation changes as required
- Complete compliance activities such as field leaderships, inspections, critical control monitoring (CCMS) and internal audits on isolations at the Green Energy Hub to contribute to Decarbonisation’s LSI promotors
- Build the capability of the onsite operations team in understanding decarbonisation related risks and exposures related to isolations and permits
- Participate in site-based risk assessments and reviews as the isolation and permit subject matter expert.
Qualifications and Experience
- Electrical licence or similar electrical experience and background highly recommended
- Relevant isolation and permitting experience in a mining environment is required
- Exposure to compliance activities (inspections, field leaderships, internal audits etc ) highly desirable
- Interest in renewables, decarbonisation activities and electrified equipment.
