Our Opportunity

 

Work Location: Solomon - Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

 

Roster: This role will commence on a 4D3R - please note the roster may be subject to change 

 

Fortescue is seeking an enthusiastic and committed, experienced Department Administrator to join our Mobile Maintenance team at Solomon. Reporting to the Administration Supervisor, the successful candidate will be an individual who prides themselves on their professionalism, proactiveness, attention to detail and effective organisational skills. 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Support onboarding of new-starters and external stakeholders 
  • Action mobilisation, travel and accommodation requirements for team members, new starters and external stakeholders, including travel roster management and auditing/ reporting 
  • Raise purchase requisitions, support logistics and freight orders, process work orders and invoices 
  • Assist with team and department events planning and coordination (i.e. workshops, forums, etc.)
  • Day to day general administration and general support tasks (e.g. coordinating meeting facilities, meeting minutes, formatting of documentation, presentations, reports, intranet web content management) as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Minimum 24 months' experience in a similar role, experience within the mining industry is desirable
  • Certificate III or IV in Business Administration or similar (or demonstrated equivalent experience)
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP, experience with Serko or Workforce (or similar travel management system) is desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to be organised, self-driven and motivated and solutions-focused 
  • Excellent time management skills, strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise work, managing competing deadlines to ensure tasks are completed with both accuracy and efficiency
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills
