About The Role
Fortescue are seeking adaptable, enthusiastic and passionate individuals looking for a long-term, rewarding career in Mine Control.
As a Mine Controller, will be a key contributor to operational efficiency, productivity, and optimisation across our autonomous operations. You will play a vital role in delivering the daily Mine Plan using Fortescue Fleet Management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Maximise equipment productivity through efficient fleet management
- Deliver against, and exceed, the mine production plan
- Act as the key point of contact for AHS Builders, In-field Builders, Pit Supervision, Operators, and Blend Coordinators
- Ensure a high level of data integrity within fleet management systems
- Rapidly troubleshoot and diagnose fleet and assignment issues in collaboration with AHS Builders, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime
- Support the adoption of new fleet management technologies, processes, and workflows to enhance operational excellence
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in frontline mine system control or control room operations (desirable)
- Proficiency with fleet management systems (desirable)
- Established background working in operational roles within the mining industry
- Sound decision-making skills with the ability to prioritise and respond quickly in fast-paced operational settings
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and coordinate effectively with multiple operational teams
- Demonstrated understanding of mining production processes, safety systems, and operational best practices
- Intermediate to advanced computer literacy, with a strong interest in technology and innovation
Next Steps
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an in-person Assessment Centre in on the 11th & 18th February 2026. Invitations to attend will be sent via email early January 2026.
Attendance at an Assessment Centre is required to be considered for these opportunities. If you are unable to attend, you will be added to the pool for the next session.
