Work Location: Perth OR across Fortescue’s Pilbara locations
Roster: Monday to Friday – Perth-based OR 8D/6R or 4D/3R – FIFO ex Perth, Busselton, Broome, Karratha, Port Hedland, Fitzroy Crossing and Kununurra

Key Responsibilities
- Anticipate and proactively resolve potential mechanical problems to maintain a zero-harm environment, utilizing technical solutions tailored to iron ore fixed plant operations
- Utilize advanced technology and green energy solutions to meet the demands of sustainable mining practices
- Implement data analysis, machine learning, and dashboards for predictive maintenance purposes
- Manage and execute small to medium-sized electrical projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to industry standards
- Design and supervise the installation of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical components into mining equipment, optimizing performance and reliability
- Conduct thorough inspections and tests to identify and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the smooth operation of electrical systems within the fixed plant
Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- Previous experience as an Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, ideally within an iron ore fixed plant maintenance environment
- Previous project management experience, demonstrating the ability to lead and deliver successful projects on time and within budget.
- Expertise in conducting root cause analysis investigations to address electrical issues effectively
- Demonstrated competency in the use of SAP or similar maintenance management systems
