An exciting and rewarding opportunity exists for an experienced SAP FICO resource to join the finance systems team to work across all operations of Fortescue. Reporting to the Manager Financial Systems and based in our Perth office, you join an experience team that supports the business-as-usual processes, requests for change, and provide project support for SAP S/4 HANA and related systems.
Your focus will be on supporting month-end processes in key areas, master data maintenance and related governance, raising and test new requirements, and project support. You will have groupwide exposure to both energy and metals operations operating globally. Projects in the finance area are varied with a focus on capital accounting, joint ventures and group reporting. Opportunities also exist for involvement other areas including the setup of new companies and country localisations, manufacturing, sales, tax engines, treasury, procurement and Anaplan.
Functions include supporting corporate teams with their processes, communicating with key stakeholders across the business to gather and document requirements, analysis of processes and controls, conducting user acceptance and integration testing, SAP FICO support and user training.
You will need to have an SAP FICO consulting background with strong communication skills, a finance background, SAP certification and relevant tertiary qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide month-end support focusing on reporting and consolidation.
- Support finance systems projects that enhance SAP S/4 HANA and related ERP systems in area such as group reporting, capital accounting and leases, currency valuation, procurement and reporting. Tasks can include:
- Analysis of finance system processes, functional gaps, and reporting requirements.
- Documenting new business requirements and project scoping. You may need to prototype and demo new processes.
- Liaise with process owners and the IT team to define new business process and ensure processes are reflected in Signavio.
- Create test cases and assist with user testing and training. Ensure testing is completed and assist with the planning, execution and sign-off of system testing.
- Support the go-live and on-going support.
- Maintenance of master data. Ensure governance and controls are in place.
- Support finance integrations of SAP and external systems such as SAP Cloud, Blackline, Group Reporting.
Qualifications and Experience
- Extensive experience consulting experience in SAP process design and configuration, testing and documentation in the FICO area with a good understanding of the integration to other SAP modules.
- Consulting or support experience across various processes such as:
- SAP S/4 Cloud
- SAP country localisation and various tax jurisdictions
- SAP Analytics Cloud and MS Analysis
- SAP integrations to treasury, procurement, joint venture, capital leases, group reporting
- Exposure to procure-to-pay process
- Group reporting for currency translations, inter-company eliminations and consolidation
- Excellent communication skills, including creation of user documentation, technical specifications, and test scripts.
- Well-developed analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce/Finance with CA or CPA qualification is required
- SAP Finance certification in Group Reporting is an advantage
