Work Location:

• Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.

Roster:  8 Days / 6 Off 7 nights / 7 off    

Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor this shift maintenance position offers a key role for our Port Mechanical team. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of Mechanical Maintenance. 

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring effective maintenance of all running plant
• Raising notification for plant defects and repair
• Fixed plant breakdown response, repair, and investigation
• Online plant area inspections, Sample stations, Balance machines, Conveyors, Train unloaders

Qualifications and Experience

•  
• Previous experience within the fixed plant maintenance
• Engineering or trade qualification is a must, candidates with significant conveyor maintenance experience also highly regarded.
• High level communication skills
• Competent user of computerised maintenance management systems – SAP & Microsoft Project
• Ability to develop quality risk assessments, CRAW, JHA, SWMS, etc
• Excellent time management and organisational skills, with a high attention to detail
• Ability to work with other departments to achieve objectives, team oriented.
• Proven commitment to principles of safety and zero harm
