Our Opportunity

An opportunity exists to join the exciting and energetic Fortescue Future Industries (FFI) team as a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. 

The role will initially be based in Harrington, Delaware and then transition to our new facility in Dover, Delaware in 2024.

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment, including maintenance and repair of facility and manufacturing assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot equipment and make repairs to maximize asset reliability and efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance on facilities and equipment.
  • Develop, plan, and execute maintenance plans and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Practice safe work habits, including complying with all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations.
  • Manage external vendors for projects and repairs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Ability to understand electronic and computerized equipment in laboratories.
  • Able to follow instructions and strictly follow procedures.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Experience of leading a team within a Supervisory position previously. 
  • BS in Engineering Discipline preferred.
  • 8-10 years of experience in machine and building maintenance.
  • Must have strong skillset in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment.
  • Computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant computer programs.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work such as moving and lifting equipment up to 50 lbs., standing for long periods of time, etc.
