Mining Operator Excavator

Our Opportunity

Work Location: Christmas Creek - Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.

Roster: 2/1 roster ex Perth, Busselton, Port Hedland, Broome, Karratha

We are looking for experienced Excavator Operators who have worked with some or all of the following equipment in a mining environment:

• Liebherr 9400, Liebherr 996, CAT6040, CAT6060
• CAT D10T

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to shift coverage and operational efficiency.
• Assist to meet daily operational targets.
• Maintain assets to operational capacity.
• Demonstrate behaviour that aligns with Fortescue values.
• Comply with Zero Harm principles on a daily basis.

Qualifications and Experience

• Ability to proficiently operate all or some of the listed machinery.
• WA Class C Driver's License.
• Mobile equipment operation in the mining industry is essential.
• Ability to read mine plans.
• Knowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection and OHS Act Regs.
• Communication and interpersonal skills - two-way operation.
• Be a supportive team player, promoting a positive and respectful work environment.
