Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi people.
Roster: 8D/6R/7N/7R - FIFO ex Perth
In the role of AHS Field Builder, reporting to the AHS Field Builder Supervisor, you will be crucial in optimising the performance of the Autonomous Haulage Fleet using Command Minestar. We welcome individuals with experience or those keen to learn about the Autonomous Field Builder role or the NLOS dozer operation to become part of our expanding team.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently oversee a fleet of trucks, achieving key dispatch metrics, maximising machine utilisation to enhance safety, productivity, and cost efficiency
- Operate dozers with no line of sight
- Implement and oversee fleet operations to fulfill the 24-hour plan
- Develop and maintain a virtual mine model, ensuring accuracy between the actual and virtual environments
- Effective communication with all stakeholders including the Perth Operations centre (HIVE)
- Optimise the mine model for maximum throughput in dynamic areas
- Manage all virtual zones, including those designated for blasting, speed, and traction control
- Act as the eyes on the ground for autonomous machinery, monitoring performance, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring seamless integration with manned operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- A demonstrated interest in innovation and technological advancements
- An eagerness to acquire skills in Fleet Management Systems, including CAT Command for Hauling/Terrain
- Previous experience in the mining and metals industry is preferred
- Current and valid WA C-Class driver’s licence, as a minimum
- A proven track record in fleet optimisation
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
