Our Opportunity

 

Location: Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an AMS Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. The AMS Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for leading, organising and supervising Maintenance Technicians to carry out planned and breakdown maintenance as required.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Oversee scheduled maintenance plans to ensure their safe, efficient and timely completion.
  • Comply with Fortescue work management standards and drive these standards with the team.
  • Collaborate with internal and external departments, leaders and support teams while ensuring compliance with Fortescue standards and policies.
  • Understand meet and comply with relevant health and safety legislation and statutory requirements as per your Schedule 26 appointment.
  • Lead engaging and informative pre-start briefings with a focus on safety and culture.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through visible leadership and by actively seeking opportunities for in-field safety conversations and coaching.

 

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Trade background in Mechanical, Auto Electrical or HV Electrical fields, or Certification in Electronic Communications essential.
  • Extensive experience with Autonomous Haulage and Mining Systems essential – Caterpillar MineStar systems experience preferred.
  • Strong commitment to safety with demonstrated leadership in mining environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP maintenance systems.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written), plus strong organisational, planning and coordination abilities.
  • Excellent time management, with the ability to balance scheduling, prioritisation and execution.
