Asset Health Analyst - HME
Our Opportunity
Work Location: Fortescue Centre - 256 St Georges Tce, Perth
Roster: Monday to Friday, 7.6 hours per day - adhoc travel to site when required
The Asset Health Analyst (AHA) leads the discovery of defects and degradation across the HME fleet and converts multi-source condition data into clear maintenance actions.
The role emphasises hands-on data analytics (Power BI, SQL/Python, telemetry tooling) to rapidly explore data, surface failure signatures, stand up quick dashboards, and operationalise condition-based maintenance (CBM) strategies that improve reliability, cost, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Detect emerging equipment failures using telemetry, event logs, and oil analysis data
- Build diagnostic dashboards (SQL + Power BI)
- Maintain a failure-signature library and generate SAP PM notifications
- Optimise maintenance plans with asset health insights
- Develop and implement condition-based maintenance (CBM) strategies
- Collaborate actively in Work Management processes
- Communicate insights effectively
- Create concise, user-friendly reports for planners, controllers, and supervisors
- Apply strong data storytelling standards (e.g. traffic-light logic, sparklines)
- Identify and drive resolution of recurring issues
- Use Defect Elimination Process (DEP) tools and meetings to share and resolve common failures
- Foster continuous improvement
- Incorporate stakeholder feedback into monitoring processes
- Share lessons learned and improvements across the team
Qualifications and Experience
- Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification or Tertiary Engineering Qualifications in Mechanical or similar disciplines essential
- Competency in digital tools (e.g. SAP, Power BI, OSI PI, SQL)
- Experience in asset health, reliability, or condition monitoring roles in mining, heavy industry, or similar environments (HME preferred)
- Hands-on delivery of Condition Based Maintenance strategies
- Participation in work management processes (e.g. maintenance planning meetings, etc.)
- Exposure to defect elimination processes
- Building quick diagnostic dashboards and operational reports in Power BI used by controllers/planners/maintainers day-to-day (desirable)
- Additional training or certifications in reliability engineering and condition monitoring (desirable)
