Our Opportunity

 

Location: Fortescue Centre - 256 St Georges Tce, Perth 

 

Roster: 5D2R (Monday to Friday)

 

Working within the Asset Performance team, this Perth based role will;

 

Assist in the implementation of the overall asset health and performance systems and reporting development strategy, ensuring these meet the needs of the stakeholder teams and become fully embedded within existing processes.

 

Be responsible for engaging with the various stakeholder department representatives to understand the report requirements and collaboratively building these reports to suit. This includes understanding the end use case of reporting products, organising the relevant datasets using SQL or Python and then building the end user report within the businesses reporting software. Where there are structural gaps in data capture, it is expected to engage with the data source owners to remediate.

 

Development of new product designs and management of ongoing improvement projects is an expectation based upon the gaps identified through existing workload.  

 

Previous experience with heavy mining or ore processing equipment is essential. Additionally, experience with, or capability working with data products and analytics is highly regarded. This role will require an individual who can maintain a high level of engagement with a wide range of stakeholders. A key objective is to leverage subject matter experts to understand the source datasets and convert them into useful information to be disseminated throughout the organisation through stakeholder engagement, documentation and communications.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Meeting with the various department representatives to understand the needs of the systems or reports
  • Proactively analyse asset performance data and identify improvement opportunities
  • Communicate improvement opportunities to the appropriate stakeholders and drive adoption
  • Ensure confidence in reporting though consistent quality control and assurance
  • Develop custom visualisations and data sources
  • Develop new KPIs and associated targets to drive the right business decisions and behaviours
  • Monitor the accuracy of asset performance data sources and, where necessary, coordinate any required improvements
  • Engage stakeholders to foster understanding and knowledge
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis or reporting requests to meet business requirements

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Mechanical, Process, Electrical Engineering degree or similar
  • 3+ Years experience within Mobile Maintenance or Fixed Plant Ore Processing environment with maintenance, process or reliability roles (essential), ideally with on-site operational experience
  • Experience with SAP CMMS or similar
  • Demonstrated high level teamwork and communication skills
  • Experience with T-SQL and/or Snowflake is essential, Python is beneficial
  • Experience with Tableau or other BI applications
  • Experience communicating complex analysis results simply to senior leaders
  • Demonstrated commitment to Health, Safety and Environment is essential
