Our Opportunity


Work Location: Christmas Creek mine site


  • Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.


Roster: 7D7N7R or 7D7N14X FIFO ex Perth, Port Hedland, Broome, Karratha


You will be required to carry out the safe execution of scheduled maintenance and repair to a range of large-scale mining equipment supporting Fortescue's mining operations. You will be responsible for carrying out repairs and inspections on mining fleet with particular focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities


  • Maintenance of various heavy mobile mining equipment
  • Diagnostics & fault finding
  • Workshop and pit duties as required
  • Work in conjunction with all mobile maintenance teams to achieve 100% schedule compliance.
  • Ensure FMG and site operations procedures and policies are followed.

Qualifications and Experience


  • Australian recognised trade certificate
  • CAT ancillary equipment 5 years experience desirable
  • Extensive knowledge of 994H,994K wheel loaders, D10T track dozers, 16/24M graders
  • Previous experience working in Mining
  • Mobile plant experience is essential
  • High regard for safety
  • Heavy Rigid Driver’s License
