Our Opportunity
Roster: 7D/7N/14R – FIFO ex Perth
Reporting to the Supervisor of Truck Maintenance, you will play a crucial support role for Fortescue's Cloudbreak Mobile Maintenance Haul team. Your primary responsibility will involve in planned and unforeseen breakdowns of the CB MM Haul Fleet. Conducting diagnosis and repairs to 12/24V electrical systems, and air conditioning systems will be integral to this position. Your focus will be on identifying machine defects that could compromise their availability and reliability. Early detection and planned repairs of failing components/defects will be pivotal to enhancing our equipment availability and Mean Time Between Failures
Key Responsibilities
- Complete thorough inspections and raise a notification for each defect
- Complete breakdown notification for each task throughout the day
- Identify key areas within the Haul Maintenance Team to improve safety practices and culture
- Complete as many Take controls or JHA’s as required to perform job tasks safely and effectively.
- Identify defects and raise the required SAP notifications.
Qualifications and Experience
- HME experience, in both planned and breakdown situations >5 years
- Experience in identifying components / defects that have the potential to fail
- OEM Technical Knowledge of CAT haul trucks to ensure correct repairs and diagnostics, correct defects are identified, and correct parts are ordered for the repair
- Current C Class License (issued by any state or territory in Australia).
- Relevant Trade Qualifications
- SAP / Data Entry
- Understanding of autonomous haul technologies
- Mod changing AMTs.
- AOZ pit permit
- Current A/C Licence
