Work Location: Solomon & Eliwana Minesite

 

Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples

Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people

 

Roster: 7D7N14R - FIFO ex Perth, Busselton, Karratha

 

 

Based out of the Solomon mine site, positions are available to join the newly created Western Hub Excavator & Drill Shut Down team. You will be responsible for carrying out major scheduled maintenance shut outages across the Excavator & Drill fleet, within our Solomon & Eliwana operations.

Key Responsibilities

 

 

  • Scheduled major maintenance of Diesel & Electric Excavators
  • Scheduled major maintenance of Diesel & Electric Drills  
  • Work in conjunction with all team members, ensuring teamwork across all crews
  • Ensure Fortescue’s and specific site operations procedures and policies are followed
  • High regard for safe work practices
  • High regard for team culture

 

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

 

  • Australian recognised Trade Certificate
  • Previous experience working on Excavator & Drills shut outages
  • Excavator (Liebherr and CAT) & Drill (D65, Pit Viper 271) fleet technical experience is essential
