Our Opportunity

Location: Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples

Roster: 8D6R7N7R - FIFO ex Perth 

We are excited to offer an entry-level position within Fortescue's mobile maintenance division, focusing on Autonomous Mining Systems. This role comes with comprehensive training and involves daily maintenance tasks for our interconnected mobile assets, including our autonomous haulage and drilling fleets.

Key Responsibilities

•    Perform maintenance on a wide range of autonomous mining equipment.
•    Conduct diagnostics and fault finding.
•    Fulfill workshop and in-pit duties as needed.
•    Collaborate with all mobile maintenance teams to ensure 100% adherence to the schedule.
•    Ensure that all tasks are completed in line with the company’s safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

•    Australian-recognised Trade Certificate (HD Mechanic or Auto Electrician preferred).
•    Current and valid WA C-Class driver’s licence, as a minimum.
•    Prior experience in mining or heavy industry is beneficial.
•    Experience in maintaining an autonomous fleet is desirable.
•    A strong commitment to safety principles.
