We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and highly experienced Business Analyst to provide evaluation support to the Decarbonisation Project team in Fortescue.

 

 

Reporting to the Manager – Decision Support and Analysis, within the Fortescue Decarbonisation team, the Business Analyst will support decision making and evaluation processes across the portfolio of Fortescue’s decarbonisation projects.

 

 

We are seeking a key participant in a high performing team who consistently demonstrates leadership, is proactive and takes ownership of their outputs, is courageous and will engage in constructive conflict with the view to continually improve objectives and outcomes.

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Decision evaluation and analytics support to the teams within the decarbonisation portfolio that are assessing green equipment alternatives across various areas of Fortescue’s operation.
  • Supporting the decarbonisation cost, emissions, and energy forecasting processes
  • Build and maintain strategic evaluation tools to support Decarbonisation program investment decision-making
  • Providing high quality analysis and presentations to be used in executive level projects updates and capital approval processes
  • Support stakeholders to understand modelling outputs and resolve challenging problems.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Relevant qualifications in Commerce, Economics, Business or Engineering
  • Experience performing financial analysis in a business planning and/or investment evaluation environment
  • Advanced economic modelling including discounted cashflow (DCF) analysis and total cost of ownership (TCO), and highly proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to be agile and resilient when managing diverse workloads with multiple priorities and delivering high quality work on time, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Extensive experience in a mining, resources, or energy environment would be advantageous.
