Infrastructure Services Carpenter

 

Location:  Cloudbreak Chichester Hub

  • Fortescue’s Chichester hub is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.


Roster: 7D7X- ex Perth/Broome/Karratha

 

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor this permanent full-time position is within our Infrastructure Services department.

This position is responsible to deliver safe, high-quality, and compliant repair work as well as building maintenance to the mine and camp facilities in order to optimize operational performance. as required by the Infrastructure Services team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raising notifications and work orders
  • Conduct building maintenance to mine site and camp facilities
  • Conduct improvement works to facilities
  • Relevant experience in mining or heavy industry
  • Carry out required inspections
  • Knowledge of applicable legislations, Australian Standards and International standards

Qualifications and Experience

  • Certificate III in carpentry
  • Previous experience as carpenter tradesperson
  • Ability and willingness to scope maintenance works and small projects for material take off
  • Qualification to undertake working at heights duties for roof maintenance
  • Small machinery operation, skid steer, excavator or loader is desirable
  • Experience in computer-based maintenance systems - SAP (desirable)
  • EWP licence and HR drivers licence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
