Our Opportunity

Work Location: Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

 

Roster: Monday-Friday.

 

The role will be required to provide specialist procurement advice on a range of categories to assist stakeholders to plan. Develop, source and manage procurement arrangements to meet organisation and business objectives effectively and efficiently.  

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Management and delivery of corporate services category aligning with Fortescue strategic objectives.  End-to-end category management and sourcing. Corporate services includes consultancy, professional services, training, health, environmental consultancy, and subscriptions.
  • Direct and mentor officers, supporting professional development and improving team performance. Reviewing all documentation (incl Agreements, Amendments, CCRs etc)
  • Stakeholder and supplier engagement and relationships globally across metals and energy portfolio.
  • Identification and delivery of strategic and continuous improvement initiatives across the category. 
  • Develop category strategies
  • System administration across all agreements (ivalua, OA’s, SAP)

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Significant, demonstratable experience in procurement, supply chain or category management ideally within a large organisation
  • University degree in commerce, business, or law, desirable
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple sourcing requests.
  • Strong written skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Well-developed analytical, research and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work effectively in small to large multi-disciplinary teams, share and transfer knowledge within teams. 
  • Able to identify issues, problems, and opportunities; develop appropriate and innovative solutions. 
  • Highly organised, self-starter who can deliver results whilst working under pressure within tight timeframes 
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a global team
