As Contracts & Procurement Senior Specialist, Decarbonisation, you will be an enthusiastic team player with a passion for driving decarbonisation efforts across our Pilbara operations. In this role, you will directly support the GM Metals Operations in the planning, execution, and monitoring of the contracts and procurement sourcing pipeline to decarbonise operations. You will work closely with category and decarbonisation managers and their teams to prepare, track and evolve decarbonisation strategies and milestones into deliverable sourcing plans. You will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, contributing to the transformation of our operations for a sustainable future.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning: Supporting the development and maintenance of decarbonisation sourcing strategies, plans and schedules.
- Critical thinking: You will apply critical thinking to the decarbonisation and sourcing strategies and timelines that you support and influence sourcing and procurement planning to drive project improvement including to time, cost, quality, consistency, efficiency and clarity.
- Monitoring Progress: Tracking project milestones, deliverables and reporting on progress to key stakeholders.
- Coordination: Facilitating and encouraging communication between team members and stakeholders to ensure progress, alignment and collaboration.
- Data & Cost Analysis: Gathering and analysing and presenting to business stakeholders data related to performance, risks, and issues.
- Issue Resolution: Helping to identify, escalate and propose ideas and opportunities to resolve project-related issues or risks to the C&P Metals Operations leadership group and other relevant business stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Communication: Preparing updates and presentations for stakeholders to keep them informed about project status.
- Documentation: Updating department tools, templates, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Passion for decarbonisation and strategic procurement.
- Project coordination and ability to create clear and concise documentation with attention to detail.
- Confident numerical and analytical skills with experience working in excel and Power BI.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
- Qualification in Supply Chain, Business or Commerce is desirable.
- Demonstrated contracts and procurement experience including preparation of category strategies.
