- Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.
Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth or Residential
Reporting to the Supervisor Civil Maintenance, Fortescue are seeking a safety focused and self-motivated experienced Civil Operator to join the Civil Infrastructure team at their Hedland Operations. This full-time position comprises the safe delivery of all civil earthworks in alignment with business objectives relating to the Rail Infrastructure and Rail Maintenance Track network.
Key Responsibilities
- Commitment to safety and adherence to industry regulations.
- Demonstrate behaviour that aligns with The Fortescue Values.
- Pre-Start, report defects and maintain operational effectiveness of all plant operated.
- Operate a range of mobile plant safely and effectively.
- Follow instruction from Supervisor correctly and efficiently.
- Execute tasks according to business requirements and meet daily operational targets.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with fellow workers.
- Flexibility to work from various base Camps along the Rail network.
- Strong time management skills.
- Communicate hazards identified in the workplace.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 2 years of Mobile Plant Operation experience. Hold associated mobile plant operating tickets.
- Civil Earthworks experience. (Desirable)
- Valid WA Drivers Licence.
- HR drivers’ licence.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
