- Fortescue’s Chichester hub is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.

- Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.
Roster: 4D/3R (Monday to Thursday) – FIFO ex Perth
Reporting to the Chichester Compliance Superintendent, the Compliance Engineer is responsible for the management of Registerable Plant compliance and the ongoing inspection of other non-registerable assets at Chichester Ore Processing Facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Thorough understanding and application of Work Health and Safety Act 2020, Work Health and Safety Regulations 2022, and Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations 1995.
- Expertise and experience in a wide range of equipment including but not limited to:
- itinerant plant (mobile cranes, elevated work platforms, compressors);
- fixed plant lifting equipment (monorails, bridge/gantry cranes, davit/jib cranes, workboxes, 4-post hoists, vehicle loading cranes, and gravity take-up winches);
- pressure equipment (accumulators, air receivers, air cannons, air oil separators, heat exchangers, and pressure relief valves); and
- storage tanks.
- Managing in-service inspections and internal/external plant inspectors.
- Responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and reviewing maintenance strategies in compliance with legislation, standards, and internal procedures.
- Support internal asset integrity audits for asset groups under their responsibility.
- Generation of a prioritised list of remediation project scopes to aid in yearly CAPEX and OPEX forecasts.
Qualifications and Experience
- Related Engineering Degree or background working with Registerable Plant.
- Related in-service inspection certifications AICIP/API (desirable).
- Experience with Australian and other international in-service inspection/safe use Standards, such as AS3788, AS2550, API 653 (essential).
- Risk Based Inspection methodologies to API 580 (desirable).
- Competency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint (essential).
- Conduct Field Interactions with work groups to promote safe work practices.
