Our Opportunity

Work Location: Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli people.

 

Roster: 8D/6R FIFO ex Perth

 

Duration: 6-month secondment opportunity, with the possibility of becoming permanent.

 

Reporting to the Cloudbreak HME Reliability Superintendent, the key focus of the Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) Condition Monitoring Analyst (CMA) is to support the daily condition monitoring activities across Fortescue’s Heavy Mobile Equipment fleet.

Through routine analysis of the HME condition, monitoring data, and positive engagement with site teams, the Condition Monitoring Analyst’s purpose is to identify possible asset failures and to provide guidance to the HME Maintenance team on the priority level of subsequent preventative maintenance works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the analysis of a wide range of indicators through lubricant analysis, and electronic or manual condition monitoring data.
  • Support the prevention of HME failures, resolve potential issues, and ensure effective maintenance.
  • Accurately review and maintain condition monitoring data.
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities related to HME asset health systems, tools and techniques.
  • Facilitate and take part in the rollout of predictive and condition-based maintenance improvement initiatives that are engaged on sites.
  • Continually search for ways to streamline and simplify the maintenance and conditioning monitoring processes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Mechanical or electrical trade qualification or tertiary engineering qualification in mechanical or similar.
  • Understanding of HME maintenance processes and assets systems in mine site operations.
  • Ability to solve involved issues logically and methodically.
  • High level computer literacy including MS Office suite and SAP.
  • Condition monitoring experience including lubricant analysis would be highly regarded.
  • Vibration Analysis and NDT certifications are desirable, but not essential.
