Contract & Procurement Specialist - Manufacturing Supply Chain

Work Location: Forrestfield..Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster: Monday – Friday
As the Contracts, Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist you will work collaboratively with the Fortescue Hydrogen Systems team providing support with the contracts and procurement processes for Global Manufacturing of Green Energy Products, assisting with sourcing, contract execution, delivery and close out (procurement life cycle).
This position would be best suited to an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a high level of flexibility, is strategic and proactive with strong stakeholder engagement abilities
Key Responsibilities
- Develop sourcing strategies/plans, market analysis, spend and value chain insights to ensure schedule cost and quality outcomes are achieved.
- Prepare and lead tender process, including supplier negotiations, supplier due diligence, evaluation process and seek necessary internal approval in line with delegation of authority and Fortescue standard a& policies.
- Sourcing potential supplier and ensure that new vendors, contractors are onboarded and prequalification’s according to Fortescue’s requirements and procedures.
- Actively engage and communicate with internal stakeholders & suppliers.
- Proactively identify supply chain risks, review and implement mitigation plans, including risks related to the performance of vendor/supplier obligations.
- Implement supplier contract management and governance frameworks including supplier tier level liaison, review and adjustment of pricing, variations, and performance management.
- Identify and implement continuous improvements through the development of best practice, policy and procedures, sourcing opportunity and value add activities.
- Prepare regular and ad hoc reporting on programs, spend, supplier, market and saving analysis.
- Performing all activities complying with Contracts & Procurement policies and procedures and ensuring appropriate governance for procurement and contracting activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of contracts, sourcing, drafting. Experience in the manufacturing, construction, and/or mining sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply chain, Procurement, commerce, business, Engineering or law desirable.
- Work in a fast-paced environment across multiple packages
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement across multiple disciplines internal and external.
- Experience leading RFx tender process, evaluations, negotiations and contract award
- Experience with contract drafting and process
- Experience with contract & payment systems (eg SAP, PIMS, Ariba) desirable
