Join Fortescue’s Iron Bridge team as a Cost Controller and play a vital role in enhancing commercial performance and cost control across our operations. 

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on data accuracy, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement. You'll work closely with Finance, Supply Chain, and Operational teams to ensure commercial discipline, timely invoice processing, and effective procurement practices. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Purchase Requisitions & Orders: Raise, monitor, and close PRs/POs in line with WBS structures and budget scopes.
  • Invoice & Contractor Claim Support: Validate high-value contractor claims and liaise with vendors to resolve invoice queries and ensure timely payments.
  • Reporting & Cost Tracking: Deliver cost and commitment reports, monitor outstanding commitments, and provide variance analysis to support decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Coaching: Train and support operational leaders on P2P processes and commercial best practices.
  • Ensure Compliance: Uphold financial controls and procurement policies, ensuring documentation is audit-ready.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Collaborate across departments to identify process improvements in P2P, financial reporting, and cost tracking.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in cost analysis, procurement, or finance support roles within mining or heavy industry.
  • Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, including PR/PO management and invoice handling.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Ariba, and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to coach and uplift commercial capability in frontline operational teams.
