Our Opportunity

Work Location: Cloudbreak 

 

Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.

Roster: 7D,7N,7R - FIFO ex Perth or Busselton

 

Reporting to the Services Supervisor the Crane Operator for assisting maintenance teams in line with the scheduled plan as well as providing breakdown and break in support based on priorities.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure high quality safety and continuous improvement practices
  • Carry out planned and routine fixed plant mechanical maintenance activities
  • Will be required to undertake other duties including rigging and dogging, assist trades

Qualifications and Experience

  • WA Class HR Driver's License
  • Open Crane & Non Slewing Crane HRWL
  • Sound knowledge of crane procedures and operation, able to perform thorough pre starts in line with FMG Crane Management Plan
  • Sound Knowledge of rigging procedures and implementing these in an operation plant environment
  • Operating experience with rough terrain and truck mounted Liebherr cranes up to 330t would be advantageous
  • Be competent in written JHA’s and Lift Plans
  • Self-motivated and ability to work in a strong team environment
