Fortescue Decarb Delivery is seeking a driven and outcome-focused leader with expertise in scoping and design for future state transformation; successful project delivery; cross-team integration; and transition to operations.
This is a non-technical role that will be accountable for leading the future state design of process, roles and interfaces in the deployment of “Green” IT and OT Systems underpinning Fortescue’s Decarb transformation. This includes leadership of options analysis and problem-solving workshops, while influencing alignment and integration across key stakeholders. The successful candidate must be comfortable with ambiguity and be able to work autonomously / proactively in a fast-paced environment with continuous change.
This role will also be expected to drive discrete project baselines (scope, cost and schedule); stand up on-going program governance; and foster strong relationships with the technical and business teams accountable for delivery. As each solution matures, this role will support business readiness, inclusive of change transition plans and the IT/OT support requirements post-deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining the Decarb Systems vision and delivery roadmap
- Presenting on the Decarb Systems change impacts to the broader business and senior leaders
- Developing business deliverables such as visualisations of future state, process maps, RACI tables and communication packs
- Facilitating options analysis’ and driving informed decisions through the development of business case documentation
- Developing and maintaining project management documentation to manage budgets, resources, schedule and risk
- Developing program status reports for senior stakeholders and leverage engagements to remove blockers for delivery teams
- Organising and delivering meetings / stakeholder workshops to ensure teams are working together and scopes are effectively integrated
- Working with operational leaders to ensure projects are delivering value for their team
- Working with Fortescue IT to ensure project teams are aligned to organisational direction and governance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strategic leadership and influence – e.g. ability to drive a long-term vision, cultivate buy-in and translate into discrete deliverables
- Strong problem-solving facilitation and continuous improvement mindset

- Excellence in business partnership, stakeholder management and communication
- Project management and delivery of business value
- Scoping and qualifying concepts through to approval
- Future state process design and gap analysis with current state
- Delivering business readiness and transitioning projects to BAU
- Delivering stakeholder workshops
- Complex problem solving cross-business area
- Agile / Technology / IT background a bonus but not mandatory.
