Our Opportunity

Work Location: Cloudbreak mine site

 

  • Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.

 

Roster: 8D6X FIFO ex Perth

 

Reporting to the Water Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance and repairs of the water asset equipment across the Cloudbreak mine site.

 

This equipment includes the centrifugal pumps, portable generators, submersible pumps, isolation, and control valves. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and champion a safety-first culture, actively engaging with personnel to foster a Zero Harm environment
  • Step up supervisor duties
  • Carry out leading hand duties and step-up Supervisor coverage
  • Carry out planned and routine fixed plant mechanical maintenance activities
  • Diagnosing and fault finding
  • Oversee contractor groups on modular and major plant shutdowns
  • Use in SAP to raise notifications, close out work orders, time confirmations and cause codes
  • Work closely with other departments to drive best outcome with operations and maintenance
  • Inspection and maintenance of Multistage Bore Pumps, Centrifugal Pumps, fire pumps and Isolation and controls valves

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diesel trade background in either Light/ Heavy vehicle trade as majority of work is diesel powered gensets or pumps
  • EWP, working at heights, confined space, rigging and dogman training (desirable)
  • Competency in ore processing plant maintenance of wet and/or dry plants
  • Experience with all aspects of fixed plant maintenance i.e. screens, conveyors, pumps, crushers, stackers, reclaimers, and chutes
  • Self-motivated and ability to work in a strong team environment
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and a track record of effectively collaborating stakeholders across different departments
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience
  • Experience in computer based maintenance systems - SAP (desirable)
