Roster: 14D 14R FIFO ex Perth

 

Join Fortescue’s Iron Bridge team at our CHF operations in Port Hedland, and play a key role in keeping our operations moving.

 

Reporting to the Water Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance, servicing, and repair of critical water infrastructure across site. This hands-on role will see you working with a variety of equipment including centrifugal pumps, submersible pumps, portable generators, isolation and control valves – ensuring reliability and minimal downtime to support production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and breakdown repairs on generators and diesel pumps
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns, prioritising work to minimise downtime
  • Perform diagnostics and fault-finding on pumping systems and equipment
  • Inspect, service and repair Multistage Bore Pumps, Centrifugal Pumps, fire pumps, isolation and control valves
  • Work safely and collaboratively, contributing to a high-performing team environment

Qualifications and Experience

  • Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter
  • Demonstrated experience in dewatering and bore field maintenance
  • Proven ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Strong commitment to safety and Fortescue values
  • HR driver’s licence (preferred)
  • Additional tickets such as Forklift, CN, Rigging or Dogging highly regarded
