Roster: 14 Days / 14 Off Perth FIFO

 

 

The Digger Maintenance Coordinator reports to the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent – Diggers & Planning and is responsible for coordinating, repairing, maintaining, and improving production and support diggers to ensure the safe delivery of world-class availability and reliability. The role oversees digger maintenance activities in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner, meeting current and future operational requirements while upholding a culture of continuous improvement and reliability excellence.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Ensures efficient plant operation.
  • Work with maintenance teams to prioritise tasks in line with production goals and operational needs.
  • Develop and maintain maintenance schedules to optimise equipment availability and minimise downtime.
  • Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs for digger assets, ensuring reliability and longevity.
  • Collaborate with suppliers for parts and services, while providing technical support to maintenance staff.

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Mechanical Fitter Trade Certification or a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within the mining or heavy industry sector.
  • Strong knowledge of digger mechanical systems and maintenance practices, with experience using maintenance management systems like SAP or CMMS.
  • Valid WA C-Class driver’s licence and excellent organisational, problem-solving, and prioritisation skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
