Our Opportunity

 

Work Location:  Roving across the various Fortescue mine sites as required

Roster:  8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth

 

Fortescue is currently seeking a suitably experienced Disposals Officer to join our team, in a fulltime, permanent capacity, roving across the Fortescue mine sites as required. Reporting to the Preservation and Disposals Superintendent, this position will be responsible for assisting with disposal of capital assets, obsolete and surplus inventory, focusing on ensuring mine safety and maintaining efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on site projects to ensure that project objectives that are set by the Disposals Superintendent are achieved
  • Safely conduct the removal or relocation of assets and inventory from sites to the required destination
  • Assist with the disposal of capital assets including mobile machines, light vehicles, rail, fixed plant, as well as obsolete and surplus inventory
  • Would suit a Warehouse Officer looking for their next role

Qualifications and Experience

  • Project Management experience highly regarded, though not essential
  • Resource, mining, energy or utility sector experience
  • Operational experience
  • Western Australian Driver’s License
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Project
  • Current High Risk Forklift License
