Work Location: Solomon

 

 

Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

 

 

Roster: Offering flexibility with either a 2:1 or 2:2 – FIFO ex Perth

 

 

Fortescue is seeking experienced Allrounder operators that are highly experienced operating Dozers in a production mining environment.

 

As a skilled Mining Operator, you will be responsible for operating mobile equipment at maximum efficiency, while maintaining safety, environmental and heritage standards to achieve required operational targets for the business.

  • Meet daily operational targets
  • Maintain assets to operational capacity
  • Constantly strive to increase process efficiency
  • Demonstrate behavior that aligns with FMG values
  • Comply with Zero Harm principles on a daily basis.

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Ability to skillfully operate CAT D10 and D11 Dozers
  • Mobile equipment operation in the mining industry is essential
  • Ability to read mine plans
  • Knowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection and OHS Act Regs
  • WA Class HR Driver's License
  • Communication and interpersonal skills - two-way operation
  • Ability to operate effectively in a team environment.
