An exciting and dynamic opportunity exists for an experienced Autonomous Drill Controller to join our high-performing team at Iron Bridge. This role focuses on the safe and efficient operation of fully autonomous platform drills while providing valuable development exposure within Mine Control, supporting a more diverse and capability-rich operational team.
We are seeking someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, embraces flexibility, and is motivated by the opportunity to work across both Drill Control and Mine Control. Your adaptability and willingness to respond to changing operational needs will make you a key contributor to the success of our integrated control functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate, monitor, and manage autonomous drill fleets
- Execute drill planning and pattern management across multiple machines
- Maintain strong communication with maintainers and field personnel
- Record and update breakdowns, delays, and daily operational data
- Upload drilling patterns, geo-boundaries, and system files
- Support and provide relief coverage in Mine Control when required
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience with Flanders autonomous drilling systems, combined with previous Mine Controller experience (highly desirable)
- Strong background in manned drilling operations
- Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced environments
- Proven multitasking capability across competing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate–advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
