We are seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Drill Controllers that are interested in pursuing a career with Fortescue.

Work Location: Perth - Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster: 4 days | 4 nights | 8 off
Job Overview - Successful applicants will be responsible for safe and efficient operation of designated Autonomous Drilling systems to deliver the required mine plan drill production targets for delivery of blasted stock.
Key Responsibilities
- Operation of designated Autonomous Drill system/s
- Standby and delay reduction initiatives
- Maximise effective drilling time and operational efficiency
- Plan optimum and efficient pattern execution
- Operation of designated TUM (Time Usage Model) software to ensure accurate reporting
- Ensure issues are promptly escalated to supervision teams
- Assist in training of other team members
- Assist in the review and creation of safe systems of work including – procedures, work instructions , training material and toolbox topics
Qualifications and Experience
- Operational drilling experience in open cut mining on platform drill rigs (highly regarded)
- Previous control room experience
- Proficiency in the operation of SCADA, Ardvarc or Caterpillars MineStar Command System is highly desirable
- Intermediate computer literacy skills and a passion for Innovation and Technology
- Demonstrated ability work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work with several demanding priorities
- Strong understanding of production strategies for large scale Mining Operations
