We are seeking a talented and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a vital role in powering the future of mining operations.

Your expertise will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems that drive efficiency, safety, and productivity throughout our mining facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Anticipate & proactively resolve potential problems to ensure a zero-harm environment through design/ formulation of technical solutions
  • Working with advanced technology to cater for green energy demand
  • Utilise Data Analysis/Machine Learning and Dashboards to assist with predictive maintenance.
  • Manage and deliver small to medium size projects
  • Design and oversee the installation of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical components into mining equipment, optimizing performance and reliability
  • Conduct thorough inspections and tests to identify and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, ensuring minimal downtime and maximizing productivity
  • Develop preventive maintenance programs and provide ongoing support to ensure the smooth operation of electrical systems
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance operational efficiency

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer, ideally within processing environment Previous project management experience.
  • Proven experience with leading root cause analysis investigations.
  • Previous experience with VSDs, Protection relays and Power system analysis.
  • Demonstrated competency in use of SAP.
