We’re seeking a driven and safety-focused Electrical Supervisor to join our technically skilled Energy Operations Northern Region team. Reporting to the Energy Operations Northern Region Superintendent, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-voltage electrical projects and maintenance activities that are critical to our success.

- 117 MW Solar Farm
- 26 MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)
- Extensive 220 kV Transmission Network connecting Lambda Substation to Port Hedland
- 33 kV Distribution Network powering Iron Bridge Operations
- Emergency Power Stations: 16 MW and 4 MW diesel facilities supporting Iron Bridge Operations and accommodation village
- A future-ready project: 250 MWh Battery Storage System Facility

Key Responsibilities
- Champion Safety & Field Leadership: Proactively engage in field leadership activities—identifying, recording, and addressing hazards—while giving constructive daily feedback to your team.
- Contractor Management: Supervise onsite contractors to ensure compliance with Fortescue policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Develop & Mentor Talent: Drive the growth of your team through structured development plans, hands-on coaching, and continuous mentoring opportunities.
- Build a Strong Team Culture: Foster an inclusive, high-performing workgroup where collaboration, fresh ideas, and innovation are valued—empowering your team to exceed business goals.
- Incident Management: Respond quickly and effectively to workplace incidents, following the Fortescue escalation process to ensure timely resolution and reporting.
- Ensure Compliance in Electrical Installations: Review and approve electrical works completed by the team as part of your Nominee responsibilities, ensuring high standards of safety and quality.
- Promote a Safety-First Mindset: Be a visible safety leader, modelling proactive behaviours and continuously reinforcing a strong, positive safety culture.
Qualifications and Experience
- Electrical Trade Qualification with a current WA Electrical Workers Licence
- High Voltage Switching Certificate, with demonstrated network switching experience
- Solid experience in large-scale transmission networks and operation of GIS switchgear
- A strong background of experience in Electrical Supervision, particularly surrounding transmission networks
- Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor certificate
- In depth knowledge of supervisory legislative requirements, along with electrical statutory responsibilities
- A strong understanding of electrical compliance, including:
- Relevant Australian Electrical Standards (e.g., AS3000)
- Electrical Codes of Practice
- Work Health & Safety Regulations 2022
- The Electricity Act and associated High-Voltage Installation Standards
