Our Opportunity

 

Location: Solomon - Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

 

Roster: 8D6R FIFO ex Perth 

 

Fortescue is seeking an experienced and motivated qualified Electrical Supervisor to lead the NPI electrical and refrigeration team for Infrastructure Services Solomon. This permanent full-time position will consist of ensuring work management is performed safely, effectively and in a timely manner. Reporting to the NPI Superintendent.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Deliver Shift Targets.
  • Ensure that Contractors within your scope of work meet the contractual agreements in place including KPI’s set regarding, quality levels and safety requirements and other services provided by them are completed and maintained in accordance with the contract, FMG requirements and any legislative regulations and requirements.
  • Ensure all necessary statutory testing, maintenance inspections and audits of the sites and related facilities are completed within the regulatory time frames. Actions arising from those audits are completed in a satisfactory manner and time frame.
  • Ensure all maintenance plans are completed and work is carried out in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Ensure sufficient stocks are maintained and resources on site to service site requirements.
  • Ensure relevant Maintenance management documents and associated files are updated and copies maintained.
  • Provide advice to Superintendent and Manager Mine Services on any proposed works required at our sites (particularly major works).

 

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Experience with contract and contractor management along with providing leadership and direction to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Trade qualified A Grade Electrician.
  • Hold an Electrical Contractors license or Electrical Nominee qualification (not essential, but willing to obtain within the first year).
  • Maintenance program coordination.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and associated costs for control management and reporting functionalities.
  • High level of commitment to the provision of quality services and contributing to a positive team environment.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy with all MS Office suite of programs.
