Electrical Technical Coordinator
Our Opportunity
Work Location: Iron Bridge - Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal People.
Roster: 8D6R FIFO ex Perth
Join our Iron Bridge Process Plant Team as an Electrical Technical Coordinator and play a key role in ensuring the reliability, compliance, and performance of our fixed plant electrical systems.
This role is ideal for an experienced electrical professional who thrives on problem-solving, leading technical improvements, and driving training initiatives to keep our operations running at their best.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical lead for all electrical faults and breakdowns.
- Provide technical support to supervisors and 2ICs.
- Work with Engineering to manage capital replacements and upgrades.
- Oversee electrical projects to ensure safety and compliance.
- Ensure the availability of critical spares to mitigate operational risks.
- Drive technical training programs for supervisory teams.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an electrical fixed plant role.
- Proven expertise in PLC instrumentation and VSD fault finding.
- “A” Class Electrical Licence and High Voltage Switching certification.
- Strong understanding of mine safety regulations and electrical statutory requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Experience with SAP and instrumentation qualifications highly regarded.
