Electrician Experienced
Our Opportunity
Work Location: NPI Port and Rail. Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.
Roster: 7D/7R – FIFO ex Perth
Fortescue is seeking an experienced Electrician for a role within the Port and Rail NPI team. This position is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality, and compliant Electrical repair work, maintenance, installations, and inspections as required by the Infrastructure Services team. It would be desirable if the candidate has experience with PLC and Instrumentation as well as SAP and Microsoft suite experience.
Infrastructure Services maintains assets across the entire mine site operation including but not limited to: Administration buildings, Crib huts, workshops, Analytical Laboratories, fuel and oil storage facilities, bore fields, waste and potable water treatment plants
Key Responsibilities
- High safety focus and risk perception always
- Scoping continuous improvement opportunities
- Raising notifications and work orders in SAP
- Breakdown and fault finding on Fixed Plant
- Preventative maintenance on Fixed Plant
- Statutory testing and inspections
- Support and development of apprentices
Qualifications and Experience
- Electrical trade qualification
- Current WA 'A' class electrical workers licence
- Previous experience as electrical tradesperson or Electrical / Instrumentation Technician in a mining environment (2 years post trade experience preferred, as it is for an experienced position)
- Experience in PLC systems and control communication systems
- Basic instrumentation experience desired
- Competent understanding of electrical schematics, isolation and permitting systems
- Experience in computer-based maintenance systems - SAP (desirable)
