Work Location: Christmas Creek

Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people

 

 

Roster: 14D14R FIFO ex Perth, Broome, Kununurra, Fitzroy Crossing, Port Hedland & Karratha

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Ensuring that all electrical high voltage maintenance activities are undertaken in a safe and coordinated manner, in compliance with site standards and procedures and the relevant Australian Standards and WA Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations, making sure that all work is conducted to a high standard.
  • Accountable for ensuring the statutory recording of HV electrical installations and other electrical work in the electrical logbook as required.
  • Willingness to learn new disciplines and skills with the incoming Electrical Excavator Fleet, and capability to grow with new technology as it evolves. 
  • Attend and actively participate in toolbox & safety meetings, fostering a safe work culture.
  • Maintain & operate vehicles, tools, and equipment to company standards.
  • Ensure the SAP/FMG work management process is followed.
  • Ensure accurate, efficient, and effective information is entered into SAP, including Notifications, work orders and time confirmations. 
  • Assist with Improvement initiatives, that positively affects fleet performance.  

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Electrical Grade A License alongside a High Voltage Switching certificate
  • Previous HV/LV distribution experience
  • Extensive knowledge of HV operations infrastructure and fault finding
  • Good knowledge of HV/LV switching systems
