Electrician - Infrastructure Services
Our Opportunity
Work Location: Christmas Creek - Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.
Roster: 7D7R ex Perth, Busselton, Karratha and Broome
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor Infrastructure Services, this role is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality, and compliant electrical repair work, maintenance, installations, and inspections as required by the Infrastructure Services team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical installations, fault finding, and repairs, including control panel work.
- Conduct statutory testing and ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards, including AS3000.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with instrumentation, PLCs, and small light and power systems.
- Assist with Hazardous Area inspections and maintenance.
- Utilise Microsoft Office and SAP for planning and reporting tasks.
- Uphold safety, quality, and environmental standards in all work activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Cert III Electrical qualification (A Grade Electrical Licence) and WA unrestricted electrical license.
- Senior first aid/CPR/LVR certification and WA Class C Driver’s Licence.
- Knowledge of instrumentation, PLCs, and statutory electrical requirements (Cert IV Instrumentation desirable).
- Experience in mining, heavy industry, or similar environments.
- Sound problem-solving skills with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Experience using SAP and familiarity with Hazardous Areas (desirable).
