Our Opportunity

Location: Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

 

Roster: Monday to Friday

 

In this role, you will support the Environment Governance team to deliver critical outcomes, including enhancing Fortescue’s environmental management system and ensuring timely, accurate regulatory reporting. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about environmental compliance and continuous improvement to make a real impact in a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordination and preparation of annual regulatory reports for external agencies and internal stakeholders.
  • Collection and recording of emissions data for National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of Fortescue’s environmental management system.
  • Support Principal and Senior Environmental Advisors in the Environment Governance team as required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Management, or Engineering.
  • 2-3 years minimum experience in the resource sector, preferably in a similar environmental role.
  • Knowledge of West Australian environmental legislation and guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software applications.
  • Strong report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and organize tasks effectively.
  • Experience building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of the Pilbara environment (desirable).
