Fortescue recently unveiled its roadmap to becoming the world's first heavy industry company to go green by 2030, aiming to eliminate fossil fuel use and achieve real zero emissions across our iron ore operations.
The Fortescue team has various roles available in our newly formed strategy and business planning team, from Analyst to Manager level. In this team, you will work closely with our internal stakeholders to pursue and execute corporate and business development transactions.
Qualifications and Experience
- A tertiary degree in a business / finance related field.
- Experience in a fast-paced organisation, preferably in resources, heavy industry, energy or infrastructure.
- Experience in strategy, strategic planning or merger, acquisition and joint venture transactions, preferably in the metals or renewable energy sectors.
- Proven due diligence, valuation and commercial negotiation skills.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills and strong financial and commercial acumen and/or economics background.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build strong relationships and influence key stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
- Strong business writing and presentation skills, confidently able to present to senior decision makers.
- Resilient and self-managing with the ability to work autonomously, take initiative and reliably deliver on tight deadlines.
- Supports the vision of Fortescue and can demonstrate alignment with our Values.
