Our Opportunity

 

Work Location:  Perth.  Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

 

Roster:  Monday to Friday.

 

Reporting directly to the Corporate Accounting Manager, this role will be primarily responsible for revenue and accounts receivable processing, reporting and analysis supported by a Senior Revenue Accountant. You will play a key role and work closely with internal stakeholders and a dynamic and exciting global Finance team.

 

To be successful in this role you will need a keen eye for detail, apply critical thinking to new challenges and ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
  • Perform accounting for regular bank clearing
  • Reconciliation of intercompany transactions and balances
  • Collect, verify and process non trade invoicing
  • Prepare analysis and period reporting
  • Contribute to the development of financial controls and processes.

Qualifications and Experience

 

  • A tertiary degree in accounting
  • CA or CPA qualification or close to completion
  • Experience with financial accounting, management accounting, audit, or the application of IFRS/AASB
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills are highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines. Flexibility is required to work across multiple time zones.
