Finance Analyst
Our Opportunity
Work Location: Perth. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster: Monday to Friday

As a member of Fortescue’s Green Energy business unit, you will be at the forefront of the fight against climate change. You will play a key role in shaping a sustainable future by working with a dynamic and exciting global Finance team.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a quick but critical thinker, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be passionate about sustainability and have a deep commitment to making a positive impact on the environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the month-end financial statement close process for multiple global business units, including the preparation of high-quality balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare accounting entries to reflect the funding of international subsidiary
- Prepare accounting entries to record international payroll
- Perform accounting for regular bank clearing
- Prepare monthly accruals including credit card, bonuses, professional fees
- Reconciliation of intercompany transactions and balances
- Contribute to the development of a robust framework of financial controls, including the identification of process improvement initiatives
- Actively promote a safe working environment
Qualifications and Experience
- A tertiary degree in accounting
- CA or CPA qualification or close to completion
- Experience with financial accounting, statutory accounts preparation, audit, or the application of IFRS/AASB
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills are highly desirable
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work within tight deadlines. Flexibility is required to work across multiple time zones.
- First time movers from Big 4 or mid-tier experience are encouraged to apply.
