Our Opportunity

Eliwana

  • Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people.

Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain Fire detection systems. Experience in Ampac and Notifier fire systems (highly desirable)
  • Complete statutory testing of fire systems, monthly, 6 monthly, annually, 5 yearly.
  • Liaise with planners and supervisors to ensure jobs are done according to schedule to maintain compliance
  • Train personnel to enable coverage during leave and sickness
  • Testing and tagging of fire extinguishers and hose reels
  • Completion of reports related to servicing and repairs
  • Liaising with site personal regarding faults and defects
  • Provide recommendations for suitable system upgrades

Qualifications and Experience

  • Testing, inspecting, and maintaining Fire Fighting Equipment on site, including but not limited to extinguishers, hydrants, hose reels, sprinkler, deluge systems and blankets in accordance with AS1851-2012
  • Inspection, servicing, adjustment, troubleshooting and repair of fire pumps
  • SAP experience and MS office skills highly regarded
  • Licenses – Cert II Fire Asset Management
  • Trade Certificate relevant to your skillset - Electrician (desirable)
  • Familiarity and confidence of fire panels (desirable)
  • Gaseous suppression systems (EAHL desirable)
