Our Opportunity

 

Work Location: Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of thee Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.

 

Roster: 7D7R – FIFO ex Perth (Friday fly out)

 

Fortescue is currently seeking an experienced Fire Systems Electrical Technician to join our team at Cloudbreak on a 7:7 roster. The successful applicant will be responsible for testing, repair and maintenance of fire panels, sprinkler systems and pump sets, fault finding and servicing on gaseous fire suppression systems, FIP programming, testing and tagging of portable fire equipment, testing of emergency light systems, fire system fault finding and call outs, installation and commissioning of fire systems, electrical installation/inspection and fault finding on non-fire related assets.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain service records and asset database
  • Collaborate with planners and supervisors to ensure tasks are completed as per schedule to maintain compliance
  • Carry out planned and breakdown repairs on FSE as well as plumbing systems and equipment
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments prior to undertaking tasks
  • Provide recommendations for suitable system upgrades
  • Mentor and train personnel

Qualifications and Experience

  • WA 'A' Grade Electrical License (desirable)
  • Licenses – Cert II Fire Protection 
  • Trade Certificate relevant to your skillset - Mechanical Fitter (desirable)
  • Hazardous Areas training (desirable)
  • Gaseous suppression systems (EAHL qualification desirable)
  • Current CPR and LVR training
  • SAP experience and MS Office highly regarded
